Renew Your Mind Wellness Services is a personalized mental healthcare provider in the Maryland, Washington DC, and Virginia region. Founded by a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, our organization delivers an integrated approach to psychiatric mental health that combines clinical expertise, compassion, and innovation. We believe mental well-being is foundational to thriving individuals, families, and communities.

Meet the Founder

Dr. Katia Coley, DNP, MSN, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC, stands at the forefront of mental health care with her dual certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. With a rich and varied background spanning across long-term acute care, medical-surgical units, traumatic brain injury units, critical care, hospice care, psychiatric units, and emergency room and obstetrics, Dr. Coley brings a wealth of experience to her practice.

Her academic journey includes a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Howard University, a Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Frontier Nursing University. Further honing her specialization in mental health, she obtained her Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Post-Doctoral Certificate from Brandman University.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Dr. Coley is deeply committed to serving her community, participating in health missions to Haiti and actively engaging in her church activities. She cherishes her time spent cooking, traveling, and enjoying life with her husband and three children. Her holistic view on care, coupled with her extensive experience, underscores her dedication to providing the highest quality of mental health services.

Dr.Coley’s dedication to mental health was ignited by witnessing the dire need for accessible care and the lengthy waits patients faced, leading her to establish a practice focused on mental health care, therapy, and medication management. With over two decades of experience, she is committed to enhancing the quality of life for her clients through a personalized and comprehensive care approach.

Specializing in mood disorders, behavioral health, ADD/ADHD, PTSD, and military-related mental health issues, Dr. Coley caters to clients aged 6 and up, offering assessments, diagnosis, and medication management.

Holistic Care

Dr. Coley's certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner also allows her to integrate a holistic perspective into her care, considering both medical and non-medical aspects of her patients' health.Dr. Coley's philosophy centers on recognizing each individual's uniqueness, deserving of time, respect, and a tailored approach to treatment.
